Disney World is the dream vacation for most people, but to get the most out of your trip you need to know where to go. The park is great and all, but it’s just a part of Disney World. There are plenty of other things to do and these 10 things you should do in Disney World will make your trip magical.
And we’re not talking about the rides or shows here — though those are included too! These activities are fun ways to experience and enjoy everything that Disney has to offer. A magical vacation is more than just walking through Cinderella’s castle; it’s also finding new places you didn’t even know existed, meeting new people, making memories with friends and family, and seeing iconic sights you might have missed otherwise.

Make Disney Dining reservations

If you’re going to be spending much of your trip at Disney World, it would be a good idea to make reservations. You don’t want to have to worry about getting in and out of the parks every day, which can get pricey. It’s also helpful if you can plan your trips around the weather so you have a more enjoyable vacation.

Catch a Disney Movie Premiere or Show

Disney World is the perfect place to catch a Disney movie premiere or show. If your family has been debating which theater to go to, Disney World will give you options for all of your favorite movies and shows. Some might even have special movie premiers! They also have these special shows where you can enjoy the show with little ones too, so you don’t have to worry about trying to entertain them while you’re watching the show. Disney also offers discounts on 3D glasses for these screenings too!

Visit the Character Trains

This is the perfect place to make some of your own Disney memories. The trains are super crowded and there’s a lot of running around involved, but it’s worth it! You get to see all the characters in one place and it’s fun to think that they might be on their way to your home town or city. Just make sure you show up early so you can find a good spot at the train station.
Another great place to visit is the Magic Kingdom Park Train Station. It’s located in front of Cinderella Castle and has a lot of character experiences throughout it. It’s also near Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin attraction, so if you’re just looking for an easy ride after all the walking, this is where you should stop by!

Take a Disney Princess Tour or Tour of the Parks

Taking a Disney princess tour or a tour of the parks gives you the opportunity to explore the areas that make up Disney World. You get to learn about Walt Disney’s original plans for his park and see some of the attractions he created. And there are even tours for adults too!
Another great thing about taking one of these tours is that it helps you plan your days at Disney World. It’s easy to take a tour when you know what you want to see and where, so you can save time and be more efficient in your day. Plus, it’s fun!

Eat at a Signature Dining Location

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from at Disney World that are sure to please. After all, they have a lot to offer, but they also all have something different. If you’re looking for some of the most unique dining experiences in the park, head over to one of these 10 signature locations.
If you want an experience beyond the norm, then head over to Epcot and enjoy a meal at Le Cellier Steakhouse or California Grill — both signature dining locations. With mouthwatering dishes like beef Wellington and a lamb chop with figs, these restaurants are guaranteed to satisfy even the pickiest eater.
If you want seafood in Disney World, go for dinner at The Wave restaurant on Bay Lake. Enjoy some fresh fish and shellfish prepared by former Florida Fish and Wildlife officers who now work as chefs there. This upscale seafood spot will give you a taste of Florida’s best cuisine without leaving Walt Disney World!

Go on an Escape Room or Disney Hidden Object Hunt

Disney World is full of immersive experiences that will make you feel like you’re in another world. If you want to find some hidden treasures, take part in a Disney Hidden Object Hunt or Escape Room. These are perfect for those who love puzzles and solving mysteries.
Escape Rooms are interactive mystery games where players work with a team to solve clues and unlock doors that lead to different themed rooms, which each offer a unique challenge. The best thing about these games is that they’re so much fun! There are plenty of challenges to keep your mind occupied as well as your heart racing!

Play in the Parks and on the rides

Disney World is designed for families and kids. This means that there are lots of activities to do in the parks, on rides, and elsewhere.
If you want a magical vacation, you need to go on the rides and play in the parks with your family. Many attractions, like Pirates of the Caribbean, have areas where adults can play as well. You can also take part in Disney World’s many interactive opportunities, from scavenger hunts to character greetings or meet-and-greets with characters. Even if you’re not a kid anymore, these experiences will make your trip more memorable.

Find Hidden Mickeys and experience other Secrets of the Parks

The Magic Kingdom is full of hidden Mickeys. If you’re looking for a Mickey to find, there are plenty of opportunities to find one on this trip. There are also tons of other secrets you can experience while in the parks. One of my favorites is the secret entrance in Adventureland at Pirates of the Caribbean. You can enter the ride through a door that leads right into the attraction!
It’s not just Disney World either — there are tons of other places you can explore within Orlando. Check out Universal Studios and SeaWorld, too! When you explore these other attractions, it will help you get more out of your Disney World vacation because it takes away time from waiting lines and gives you a chance to see different parts of Orlando while still being in one place.

Skip the Lines and Buses; Use Fastpass+ Instead.

Disney World is the most popular destination in the world. With that comes lines and buses galore. If you want to avoid the long waits and crowds, your best bet is to skip the line, and use Fastpass+.
Although it might sound counterintuitive, Fastpass+ can make waiting even shorter. It’s one of the only attractions with a universal Fastpass system that allows guests to ride as soon as they walk through the entrance queue. When you use a Fastpass+ ride at Disney World, you are given a time window when you can come back and get on without having to wait in line again.
In addition, people who don’t want to spend their entire day waiting for rides should also consider using Disney’s PhotoPass service or its Character Locator app. These apps allow you to take photos of characters from behind the scenes or during special events so that your digital photo album has more content than just shots from rides.
