When PepsiCo bought the fragrance brand Emporio Armani in June of this year, I was excited and a bit anxious about what will happen to the house fragrance. The brand is so iconic that it’s almost hard to fathom that it was never as big as it is today. Back in 1981 when Emporio Armani Fragrances entered the market, there were very few other niche fragrance brands in existence with similar parameters. Today, there are an abundance of niche brands, many which are household names like Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana just to name a few. When Emporio Armani launched its first fragrance entitled Nuit d’Armani for women back in 1981, it created a niche around itself and has remained one ever since.
This left me wondering if they would be able to keep up with changing times and maintain the success of their new owners. Luckily, we got several press releases telling us how important our favorite fragrances will always be to them and therefore they will do everything in their power to ensure that they remain part of our lives forever! Let’s take a look at my experience with the House Perfumes from this point forward.
My Experience With Emporio Armani Perfumes
When I first purchased my Emporio Armani Anniversary Edition fragrance, ten years ago, it was one of the first fragrances that I had ever tried. I fell in love with that scent and have continued to purchase it for every birthday and anniversary since. It is a light, yet sweet fragrance that lingers nicely on your skin.
This year when the new Emporio Armani Couple perfume was released, I decided that I needed a new addition to my collection. So, as soon as I saw it in the store, I snatched it right up! The packaging is sleek and sophisticated with all the same elements of their other fragrances. As soon as you open this bottle though, you can smell those notes of bergamot and cardamom.
It’s not too heavy nor too light. It’s just perfect for an everyday daytime fragrance. This is one of those scents that you could wear to work or out on a date night! It has a very sophisticated touch and makes you feel like you can conquer anything in life!
The lasting power of this perfume is wonderful! If you ever find yourself running low on your favorite fragrance after wearing it for a few hours at work or out with friends, no worries! Just give your skin a quick spritz with some water and voila! That scent will be back again!
New Emporio Armani Couple Perfume – Review
The new Emporio Armani Couple Perfume is a daring, spicy and oriental scent that opens with notes of bergamot, coriander, ginger, cardamom and cedarwood. The heart brings in the sensuality of jasmine, rose petals and cumin. In the base are warm vanilla tones on top of musk and amber. I love this perfume! It’s so different from any other fragrance I own or have tried before. It’s a sexy yet mysterious fragrance that comes off as modern yet refined at the same time.
Armani Mania
This is a day and night fragrance that is meant to be used in the morning and evening. It opens with a citrusy scent followed by a mix of gardenia, jasmine, rose and sandalwood on the dry down. It’s quite a light fragrance and one I will wear on those days that I don’t want to wear anything too heavy or overpowering.
The packaging for this fragrance is simple but elegant at the same time. The box is not tawdry like many other fragrances tend to be, it’s actually quite classy. The bottle features a black/gold color scheme which compliments the whole look of the fragrance really well.
This fragrance has received mixed reviews from customers both online and in stores but I personally enjoy it for what it is – a light signature scent that won’t take over your life or make you smell like something you’re not comfortable with! If you’re going to try an Emporio Armani fragrance, I would recommend this one as it’s more affordable than some of their others and more attainable due to its lower price point.
New Emporio Armani for Men Cologne – Review
I’ve always loved the spicy musk of Emporio Armani for Men. It is one of my favorite scents in general and I’ve been wearing it for about a decade now. The fragrance has been released several times before this year but I don’t really remember any of them being particularly interesting.
When I heard that they were releasing a new version, I was a little bit hesitant to try out something new with an old favorite. But after I got some more information, I decided to give the new version a shot and see what the fuss was all about.
The new version is called My Emporio Armani Couple and is meant to be paired with My Emporio Armani Perfume for Women. The fragrances are meant to work well together as they share similar notes, so it makes sense that they would come as a set.
New Armani Mania Eau De Toilette Spray – Review
The new Armani Mania perfume has been released and I decided to give it a try. After some research and getting my hands on the testers, I was able to finally get my hands on the new scent. The fragrance is a fruity-floral and oriental fragrance which includes notes of Lavender, Bergamot, and Mandarin Orange. The bottle is even unique with an artistic design that reminds me of an old fashioned inkwell!
I found this scent to be very nice and light-weight on the skin with a subtle sweetness. It’s not too strong but it gives off a vibe that makes you feel happier when you wear it. I would say that this fragrance is perfect for those who are looking for something fresh and light in their wardrobe!
Armani Cologne Night – A Retrospective
A few days before the launch of this fragrance, I had a very strong intuition that I was going to love it. It is a fruity-floral scent with top notes of bergamot and tangerine, middle notes of apricot and peach, and base notes of musk and jasmine. The name Armani Cologne Night speaks for itself.
I chose spray over the eau de parfum because the price difference is $18.00 on Amazon.com ($23.00 on Sephora) which is not too much money if you ask me. Spraying this fragrance gives you a lot more bang for your buck!
It’s an amazing fragrance that will easily support your day or evening wear needs and one you can wear anywhere without being afraid that it might clash with your outfit or perfume already in your purse. People who love florals will absolutely love this fragrance, but so will people who prefer other floral scents like Narciso Rodriguez for Her (a dry floral). It does give off a bit of a sweet fruit note that some may not appreciate, but I like it! Also, this scent lasts all day on my skin and gets stronger throughout the day as long as I don’t use any other body products which kind of makes this whole ordeal worth it!
Overall, I am very pleased with my experience with Armani Cologne Night given its price point for what you get!
Conclusion
After two weeks of using the new Emporio Armani couple fragrance I can say that I’ve indeed fallen in love with this perfume.
I fell in love with the new design, the packaging, and the overall scent of the perfume. The smell is quite complex and lasts for hours on end. This is perfect for those who are looking for a fragrance that smells good from morning to night. It’s definitely worth the price tag.
